View to the south of a line of willows offset 2.0 +/- 0.7m right-laterally and 1.5 +/-0.7m up to the north, across the Denali fault near Augustana Pass. The fault trends from left to right across the middle of the photo; P. Haeussler is pointing where the line of willows meets the fault. The total rupture zone is approximately 12m wide but most of the slip occurs across a 7-m-wide zone. Site 03-203, km 88.93. Photo by H. Stenner.
A few meters to the west of an offset line of willows, this stream channel also shows offset. Measurement was difficult due to the unclear pre-faulting geometry of the stream bed, but the offset appears to be similar in amount to the neighboring ~2m offset along the line of willows. Orange flagging outlines the channel at the fault. View to the north. Site 03-203, km 88.93. Photo by F. Cinti.
