Aerial view to the southwest of a pull-apart and associated 20-m-deep crack produced by surface faulting along the Denali fault through the Susitna Glacier. The offset across the fault trace is 1.6 +/- 0.5m, right-lateral, and 0.7 +/- 0.2m, up to the south. Footprints for scale. Site PH269, km 20.51. Photo by P. Haeussler.
Aerial view to the east of a 20-m-deep crack caused by surface faulting along the Denali fault through the Susitna Glacier. The offset across the fault trace is 1.6 +/- 0.5m, right-lateral, and 0.7 +/- 0.2m, up to the south. Site PH269, km 20.51. Photo by P. Haeussler.
P. Haeussler peers into a 20-m-deep crack caused by surface faulting along the Denali fault through the Susitna Glacier. The snow face visible behind his hat appeared to match with the snow face near the tip of the stadia rod, as did some features within the crack, for an offset of 1.6 +/- 0.5m, right-lateral, and 0.67 +/- 0.2m, up to the south.
