Electronic Supplement to
Erratum
The Wood–Anderson of Trieste (Northeast Italy): One of the Last Operating Torsion Seismometers

by Denis Sandron, Giovanni Francesco Gentile, Stefania Gentili, Angela Saraò, Alessandro Rebez, Marco Santulin, and Dario Slejko

The electronic supplement contains a table that shows the new 1977–2013 catalog of Trieste Wood– Anderson local magnitude (ML) values.

NOTE: In November 2016, the authors discovered typographical errors in the original Table S1 of the electronic supplement to Sandron et al. (2015). This erratum corrects Table S1 and those errors.

Table

Table S1. Earthquake catalog (1977–2013) of the Trieste Wood–Anderson ML values. For each event, the following are reported: date (year, month, day), UTC time (hour, minute, second), latitude and longitude (°), depth (km), ML and reference (i.e., the source where the location was acquired). References: 0, events recognized as possible quarry explosions near Trieste; 1, Trieste seismological bulletin (latest revision by G. Renner, personal comm. 2010; see Data and Resources); 2, The Friuli Venezia Giulia Seismometric Network Bulletin (Istituto Nazionale di Oceanografia e di Geofisica Sperimentale); 3, Euro-Med Bulletin (European–Mediterranean Seismological Centre, 2010); 4, ISIDe database of the Istituto Nazionale di Geofisica e Vulcanologia (ISIDe Working Group, 2010); 5, Online Bulletin(International Seismological Centre, 2013).

Download: Table S1 [Zipped Tab-delimited Text; ~70 KB]. Corrected tab-delimited version of Table S1. Column heads are as follows: date (Year, Month, Day), UTC time (Hour, Min, Sec), LATitude and LONgitude (°), Depth (km), ML, and REF (reference). References are as shown above.

Data and Resources

The Trieste station seismological bulletins (officially “Seismological bulletin, W.W.S.S Station TRI 117”), were issued monthly from 1971 to 1981, twice a month from 1982 to 1983, and fortnightly from 1984 to September 1989, by the Istituto Nazionale di Oceanografia e di Geofisica Sperimentale (OGS), sited in Trieste (northeastern Italy). The Trieste station bulletins have been distributed to every seismological organizations and/or seismological observatory operating in that period. They are stored in original version and in hard copy in the OGS library and are available upon request. The latest revision by G. Renner (personal comm., 2010) compiled in an electronic file for internal use (last accessed January 2015) was used in compiling the present catalog.
